WHAT IS TSA?
Tanzania Sharing Association is a group of Tanzanians living in the United States. This group was founded in Houston, Texas with the goal of building unity, cooperation, and helping each other in difficulties and pleasures. Currently the group has members from all states of the United States.
WHAT ARE THE QUALIFICATIONS OF BEING A MEMBER?
Any person of Tanzanian origin, or lineage by birth, marriage, or registration is allowed to apply for TSA membership. However, before joining the party is required to fill out an application form and then be discussed by a special committee of the group to confirm their qualifications and behavior. Members have the constitutional right to refuse any person who applies for membership if they determine that he may cause problems, or disrupt the interests of the group.
WHAT IS THE BENEFIT OF BEING A MEMBER?
A TSA member benefits in many ways from the love, cooperation, and exceptional support provided by fellow members in the group. If a member dies, the group provide assistance in his or her funeral by donating $10,000. That amount is also given to a member in case his or her family member dies here in the United States. In addition, a member receives $3,000 in case his or her parent or guardian faces disaster such as a long-term illness, or death. For more information please read TSA constitution
HOW ARE TSA LEADERS FOUND?
TSA leaders are elected during a special summit. Every active member has the right to vote to elect officers, as well as to run for an open leadership position. Elected officials work on a volunteer basis, they are not paid a salary.
IS THERE AN ENTRY FEE?
A new member is required to pay a fee of $225. Of that, $100 is the entrance fee, $25 is the annual fee, and $100 is a contribution to the group fund. Along with the fee, the new member is put on probation for 60 days. During that period, the member does not deserve to be paid any benefits, but the members can give him a voluntary contribution (Refer to the constitution). The member will be able to receive benefits after passing the waiting period.
CAN A MEMBER LEAVE THE GROUP?
A member is free to withdraw from the group any time if he has never received benefits. Members who received benefits will be required to return all funds he or she was paid before withdrawing. This process is constitutionally mandated to protect TSA funds and assets. In addition, TSA members have the constitutional right to suspend or fire any member who appears to be endanger the safety or interests of the group.
